In less than a day! #piano lessons online On the piano keyboard, the black and white notes are arranged in patterns. The black notes are placed in groups of two, then three, alternating across the piano keyboard. You can easily locate the key for note D on your piano keyboard: find a group of two black notes together, then look for the white note which sits between them. This note is D. We use the letter names A-G to name the musical notes, then continue the series from A again. A full size piano keyboard has 7 octaves (sets) of letters. Smaller keyboard can have only one or two octaves, but that's fine for a beginner. More about how to read music can be found on Victoria Williams' website, http://www.mymusictheory.com.
